How it works |
It’s a simple idea; start with standard economy seats (step 1). Stagger the seats to free up arm and shoulder space (step 2). Overlapping the armrests allows seat width to be increased 2” (High Comfort). Adding another column of seats (on twin aisle aircraft) increases capacity by up to 15% whilst maintaining seat width and pitch (High Capacity).
Staggering the seats and overlapping the armrests gives every
passenger their own pair of armrests and provides even the largest
passengers plenty of room for their elbows and shoulders, whilst
the airline has the choice to increase capacity or increase legroom
(seat pitch) – or a bit of both. Seat width (the dimension
between the armrests) is also increased.
