15% capacity increase or 2" wider seat
Our studies into the way people sit on aircraft, together with what we
know about engineering seats and the commercial realities of the airline
industry, created our idea for the future of economy class.
It comes in two guises to suit each airline’s marketplace:
The High Capacity version offers up to 15% increase in capacity (or alternatively
a 3" increase in seat pitch with no loss in capacity). The High Comfort
variant provides 2" extra inches of width, whilst maintaining capacity
and seat pitch for the widest seat ever in economy.
Tests have demonstrated that the patented tip-up seat pan has made seat
access much easier than seats installed at the same pitch. With seats
pitched at 30" the window passenger can now get to the aisle without
the middle and aisle passengers having to get out of their seats. They
simply have to semi standup, lying against the seat back, which allows
window side people to pass. This will be of great benefit when boarding
the aircraft in that there will be less aisle congestion.
